Absolutely correct. I just assumed that most Novell CNEs would have all the IDs synchronized across all servers including an NT/Novell mix. I also assumed users don't go out of their way to keep different passwords on different servers on the same backbone. Here, we do not use the Windows login. Strictly Client32. So what was used in the Client32 login is used to authenticate to any additional NW servers the users try to hit.
