Based on the error message, the cdx is corrupted. One project I handled have similar situation which happens to be using NOVELL. I already recommended for a change in NOS - WinNT, but the management seems to be hard headed. Anyways, we charge them per hour per visit.

Actually we do have routine or module to do that, and I think there is an available one in the files section here in UT.
