There really is not much to know about the drivers except that they have been installed and you select the right one based on what you are connecting to.

We are still all on Win95/98 OS, so I do not know if it is W2K related.

The only requirements to connect to Oracle are the installations of the Oracle [SQL*Net] client and Oracle/MS ODBC drivers and a proper entry in the TNSNAMES.ORA file.

In VFP, the only considerations are the connection in the DBC and/or the string you use in SPT [SQLConnect and SQLStringConnect].
