I was able to get the global temp file to work, but only if I referred to it in the following way: bcp ##greg out (etc.). If I said bcp tempdb.dbo.##greg out ((etc.), it would not work. I could not get the local temp file to work in any sort of way. I took the Microsoft Administrators test and it asked about copying a local temp file using bcp. Thanks for your help.
