Excellent idea - I used it - but the column of Grid2 (hence, the currentcontrol) was not listed anywhere. The control is set Enabled = .F. in it's properties so that it only shows itself when I call for it (when there's an appended record to the grid's recordsource). Would it refresh after an update? Even so it should still exist. Besides, that should have nothing to do with the container, Column1.
