This returns the number 0.
One of the FOR conditions involves data from a second table. I tried doing a SET RELATION command before doing the SUM command, but that returned the message "Cyclic relation". I must be missing something somewhere.
To SUM what I'm trying to DO: Working in VFP3, I'm creating an Excel spreadsheet. The data sums up , by month, expenses for the fiscal year. I'm dropping this into Excel because 1) I thought that would be easier than fighting with the Report Writer, and 2) I thought I'd learn something new. So I've figured out how to open a new worksheet in Excel, drop labels into cells, and display it on the screen. What I still want to figure out is how to format my headings, and actually put data from my VFP tables into the spreadsheet in the appropriate cells. I have reports created, through the Report Writer, that will do what I want for each month. Now I just need to SUM for the year, or for the Year to Date.
Thanks.
Kim
