I enjoyed last night's seminar. I have a couple of questions based on the information that John presented and a suggestion.

First, the suggestion. It would be great in the future to be able to pick up the example in advance. I wasn't set up at home to connect to SQL Server 7 or to MSDE but I could have been if I knew that the exercise required it. The chat room format is a bit slow which makes it perfect for doing an exercise while "listening" to John.

Now the question(s) for John: Would it always be a bad idea to access VFP data through VB? Obviously, its going to be slower than using a native driver. Will it be unusable? What about doing this to get to some combination of data stored in DBF and DB2 and/or SQL Server?
