I have a problem with and MDE file that I'm hoping someone has experienced before and resolved. It's got me stumped.

When I convert my MDB file to an MDE file and test it, the MDE file appears to work fine. Then, using the ODE kit (Office 97), I create an installation for it, using the MDE file and setting it up to use the MS Access Runtime. When I install it on a test machine (the test machine does not have Microsoft Office installed) and run it, everything seems fine until I try to run a report. The report displays dialog boxes asking for values for Format and Str - as though the functions were query parameters.

That almost seems like a library is missing (i.e. it didn't get installed as part of the setup). However, the curious thing is that, when I place the MDB file on the same machine (changing nothing else) and run it under the runtime version of the software, the problem does not exist. Then, when I run the MDE file again, the problem doesn't reoccur.

If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate the help.
