Thanks for the input. I had checked all the correct boxes and still nothing. Finally it came to me:

When I set up my program for this year, I made extensive use of subfolders and apps in each of them, which is where my problems began.

The problem is that the project files need to be in the root folder of the entire program and the prg and scx files can be in the subfolders. I had the project files in the subfolders also but compiled the projects into an app back in the root folder, where they are called from the single exe.

If not set up this way, you can debug the scx's and vcx's because the object code is stored in the table with them, but the prg object cannot be found.
