Hi Everyone! Need some help....

Am working on a client/server application in VFP, which needs to keep track of the current number of users, and not allow more than the licensed number of users to log in. Whats the best way to do this in VFP?

Secondly in our current version when someone purchases the software they get an encrypted file along with the software which contains the information about the user, the options purchased, and the number of users. We were thinking of issuing a code key/ serial number which specifies the options purchased, and the number of licenses. Any inputs on how this is done, will be appreciated :). Also what are the pros & cons of storing this information in a file versus in the registry?
