>What's the difference between E&O and prof liab?

My understanding is that e&o is just that. It deals with software written for a client. If you as the as the developer either accidentally or on purpose forget or incorrectly program an application in which it causes harm to the client (financially, etc.) the e&o insurance pays the client for the proven harm done.

Liability insurance is just that as well. It is so that if you were to basically drop a computer on your hand while doing work for the client or you place of business burns down because of some work you were doing for the client or your were injured while at the client site, your insurance pays not the clients. Another example would be if you hired an employee to work on a client project and they were hurt on your premises or they were hurt at the client site, your insurance pays not the clients.

I am by no means an insurance expert but you need to contact the appropriate insurance agents to find out the different levels of insurance and coverages. There is quite a few different levels based on my past shopping for insurance.
