Thanks for all your help and suggestions. It is very much appreciated!

I really like the idea of the connection string in the Include file. As soon as I decided to make the switch from a system DSN on the server to a connection string (which was last week), I thought of doing just that. I'm actually in the process of doing that now.

The connection string is handy and once you understand how to write it in its many "flavors" you will better understand how important that little line of code can be. I have my connection string saved as an ASP file and use it as an INCLUDE file. That is so no one can see my connection string on a client machine and it makes it a simple matter to change should the data server etc. change.
