Many thanks to both of you! I'm in the middle of converting my codeno's to truly unique id's which I can see will make life a *lot* easier :^)!!! Still can't help feeling "two steps forward, one step back" ;).

>To make things easy for me I have started using a field called "keyfield" in all my tables and populating it with dtoc(datetime())+sys(2015) which is for all but the most extreme cases assures me of a unique id with the added benefit of knowing when it was added.
