You're right, but I wasn't trying to be negative, just poking a little fun at the situation. I don't think MS will drop VFP anytime soon, but it's not a big audience.

This magazine is written primarily by the full-time editorial staff, not free-lance submissions. If you go to the web site and look at the guidelines for submitted articles, you'll find these words, "We’re language-independent. Any Microsoft-supported language will suffice—C/C++, Visual Basic, and scripting code will all be fine."

I went to Tech-Ed 99 and through the entire event, VFP was not mentioned once. I can't count the times that a speaker said, "This will work in any language, VB, VC.... VJ, all of them".

VFP is considered a niche product at Microsoft and by counting the numbers of developers in each language, maybe rightfully so. I doubt they will publish articles that target, perhaps 3% of their readership.
