I'm not entirely sure what you're asking here. The top and left co-ordinates are relative to the container. In the case of a form, it's relative to the client area of the form (which doesn't include the title bar or the width of the frame). OBJTOCLIENT() can return the co-ordinates of an object in a container relative to the form. A form's co-ordinates, if not a top-level window are relative to either the VFP desktop or the top-level containing it.
