I agree with Barbara but you can do what you are suggesting to a point. You need to setfocus() to the control you want the form to default to when you open it, or do an Add or Edit. Then make sure your tab order is in the order you want to navigate as you enter data or whatever you are doing. Remember that edit boxes behave like a text editor and comboxboxes behave differently depending on how you set it up. Also, you'll need to make sure that your buttons are taken out of the tab order so they(the user) don't navigate to a button while changing focus using the return key. In general though, I would say it would be to your advantage to talk your user base into using the tab key.
