Yep, if it's not so bad that you can't open as dbf, then it's worth taking a look at. I opened one corrupt one, and there was obvious garbage in one column for several records. I just had to compare to other records what should be there, and that solved it. I've also fixed frx/scx problems by scanning through the memos to find problems.

But the backup is still the clear way to go, as Barbara notes...
