One of my favourite images (from "What do you care what other people think") is of Feynman's dad teaching him how to learn while they were walkin in the woods on the summer holiday. Fenyman says that he knew his dad was making some of it up, but that the lesson was taught better that way.

I'd love my kids to be able to look back on the stuff I taught them with as much enthusiasm as Fenyyman. I know the stuff I learnt from my dad came across in a similar sor of way - I feel pretty lucky.
