Great post! That's a very concise example with good references. (Of course, I'm saying it's great without actually testing it first, but you did that, didn't you?) :-)

Just one final step I'd add after building the first COM object (all in fun):

Add a line to your resume that says: "Experienced with COM automation server programming" :-)
