ok, personally I don't use general fields for anything I don't have to, which ends up to be everything

I am guessing this is a networked program?

I just create a new directory on the network and keep all my "dynamic" bmp, jpg... there then at boot time I copy them down to the end users PC, in a dedicated directory then just use the local files.


Example, everything is local
a general field with a 60kb bmp takes 2.2 seconds to bring up
a stand-alone 60kb bmp is immediate

It just seams every general field file type or linked / embedded is just to slow

once again this is just a opinion and personal preference
