Ivan,

I'm not certain what they mean by "True ActiveX" either. VFP does currently work just fine with a number of real ActiveX controls. It does have problems with some, however. Mostly, these are limited to container controls that rely on the standard Windows messagaging rules being in place. An example of one of these is the MS Coolbar control. VFP uses a non-standard method since its controls are not windows as they are in other languages such as VB.

Whether or not this will be resolved in the next version is unknown. The Fox team improved VFP's ability to deal with ActiveX controls between versions 5.0 and 6.0. One would hope to see continued improvment. However, if I were to hazard a guess, I would say that the non-standard Windows messaging would probably still be in place, and we may continue to have problems with controls like the Coolbar.
