That what I though at the beginning but look it that way : even if FoxPro is not compatible with VB (thruw ADO and ODBC) as Acces, the FoxPro driver and ODBC engine should ofter a data update speed in the same range. I've been doing these operations with Access at it was extremly faster. With all the people that use FoxPro with big databases (even if a smaler portion of them use it with VB) I cannot believe that Microsoft didn't built is components to provide a faster access to the datas. Maybe I don't whant to face the reality but I keep thinking that it is something I'm doing rong.
