Thanks David and Juan,
I looked into your ideas, but I'm think I'm on the wrong track. I see how I can create apps to access data via websites, but I guess what I'm looking for is how to give that ability to existing apps, obtained previously from other firms, that the customer uses.
I guess what I'm asking is like this: Is there some sort of universal protocol that applications can tie into, sort of like connecting to an ODBC data source, where each field can be configured as to it's source?
Sorry if this sounds weird, but I'm just going by what was told to me. Here's the setup:
We have setup on a webserver a site that provides demographic data, for given address and zip values. A potential customer has a loan application that accesses some other website for credit info. They're asking if we can "fill in" their demographic fields, using their address and zip, similar to the way this credit company's website does.
It sounds to me like their application would have to be re-written to include this feature.
Thanks!
Mark
