Sooo....what's in a name........

First, let's look at this strange application, Outlook Express. It is not Outlook, nor is it particularly fast. It cannot be automated, manipulated, instantiated or ANY OTHER -ated directly from VFP.

Folks, you are being misled by the name. People see "Outlook Express" on their machines and assume they have Outlook. These same folks see WordPad on their machines but know they don't have Word...what's the difference in thought processes here?

Outlook Express is NOT Outlook; WordPad is NOT Word; Notepad is NOT Lotus Notes........

Outlook Express is, at best, a bubblegum and bailing wire email tool and newsgroup reader.
