Sorry to keep you waitning, I've been away for a while.
Actually with the sort of stuff we are doing we would not rely on anything being safe and have therefore used on-the fly backup for a year or more.
Originally got into this kind of soilution with datakeeper from PoweQuest but was disappointed when moving to 2000 ... it does'nt support it!! Also it did not back up on the fly to a shared networ drive.
Now we have used 'Second Copy 2000" which seems to do the trick for us ie saves projects as you work in the background to a local drive, network or removable media with no perceptible interruption.
More recently got a product called "autosave" (
www.v-com.com ) free with some hardware ... but have not tried it.
"Second Copy 2000" is my choice at the moment ...
