Hi Mark,
Count me in as "The MSDN interface is lame" as well. Having all the info is great, but don't show what is NOT in the active subset. Grrr. If I can't use it, why show it!
BTW, in VFP just go to Options, File Locations Tab, find the help file line and change it to: c:\program files\microsoft visual studio\msdn\2000jan\1033\foxhelp.chm or where you installed MSDN, then you have only foxhelp from the fox menu. You can access the MSDN from a regular windows shortcut.
>Hi All,
>The hardest thing in moving from VFP 5 to VFP 6 was giving up the nice, efficient, help file. I remember when CD-ROMs first became available, how amazed I was that the entire Encylopedia Britannica could fit, images and all, on a single CD! And today, years later, the help documents for VFP, consisting of mere text, takes up 3 CDs! Am I the only one that finds it frustrating while researching a problem, to be forced to swap out disks back and forth?
>Sure, the disks contain the entire library, but I don't need the entire library! Isn't there some way to install files for only specific products?

About a dog, who found two bone.
He lick the one, he lick the other.
He went pyscho, he drop dead!
