long time ago. The PC ran on an 8088/86; I haven't even seen anything with 8080 compatibility since the NEC 8088/8086 clones (V20/V30? - contemporary with the 286 chip) with the Z80 instruction set, to make it easier for all of us CP/M-80 types to port over our code...
