It's gone. But on Oracle 8i you can pull the data out of the archive logs if you have Archive Logging turned on using
something called "logminer".
It's not a trivial action. and if asked to do it I would question if the time to perform the action for 1 deleted
row is worth the time to reenter however in extrem cases.
I.E.
DELETE FROM tablename;
COMMIT;
Note if you issue a TRUNCATE TABLE tablename; your hosed as TRUNCATE TABLE commands are not
"archived"....
Of course you can always get deleted data from a backup or export file....
Again not a trivial action....
