Well, welcome to the UT. You'll like it here. I was a basic member for a while as I checked things out. One thing that took me a while was the "Private" message. You can see the button on the left. As a basic member you can't send one, but you can reply to one. When you get one it makes the sound of a car horn. The first time I heard it I thought it was coming from outside! and it wasn't until I noticed the number next to the "Private" button that I caught on.
