Sorry to be using this message for what follows, but I have *NO* icons on the left to create a new message (nor any other icons for anything else).

It appears that you are "fiddling" with UT today. Assuming that you are, let me tell you that things look pretty bad from this end.
1) earlier today (3 times an hour apart each) there was no connection at all.
2) This time, with the Java (I guess) message flitting by I found myself 'entering Universal Thread' 4 times before it "took"
3) As mentioned above, *NO* icons at all on the left
