We use views to access Clipper 5.0 free tables. In some of our Databases, the views are about the only items. The only problems we've run into is where 10 years ago, someone declared a fieldname of DESC (which is now the abbrev. for Descending). The SQL update of the view fails, so we had to exclude this field from the update, added a new field DESCRIPT to the table that is updated by the SQL in the view and after the tableupdate() put in an explicit Replace DESC with DESCRIPT.
