After some head-scratching, I found that by inserting a DialInternet command before the CloseInternet command, the test program for FTP-class by Robert Abram worked just fine, except for one thing:

The CloseInternet command may have terminated something, but the telephone did not get back on-hook, i.e. the modem stayed connected, on-line.

How do I fix this? Maybe I could just send an ATZ-command direct to the modem, if I knew how. .
