Is there a way or a utility available to extract table names from a expression.

The problem is expression can be any like

Expr:
mytable.amount*yourtable.rate

so it should return
mytable
yourtable

Expr:
upper(mytable.testfld)

Returns
mytable

Pls advs your suggestions/ideas, its a very important think in my recent project..
