>Is the government of Canada/Quebec the reason for business successes? Hmmm.. I always thought it was folks like you and me who worked a little harder, stayed up a little later and went the extra mile to gain better abilities in our craft - and then applied those skills in the marketplace. I guess all my success aren't real since the US government hasn't made me successful... <g>

It's a government job to make certain that the citizens will be protected. In the case of our culture those laws are necessary (even if they look foolish) to protect those that needs to be protected. I consider myself almost bilingual so I don't need that protection. I just came back from vacations and my relatives there don't speak or understand a word of english. Those laws are made for people like them. So they can continue to enjoy their lives. I know what you're going to say. THey should learn english. SOme of those relatives are 80+ years old.

>I can see why everyone is having the troubles they are - if they actually believe that kind silliness. Of course, please do not stop! I say let Canada sink itself in a socialist bog since that will mean more business for us/me! <g>

Why is your government on the case of Microsoft? I just think it's silly <g>
let them go and become the master of the universe in the IT field. Who needs competition. What's so bad about monopoly? When MS is alone then we will have real standards. Maybe we won't have many software to choose from but so what.
Maybe they won't be as attentive to the customers but then so what. Their software will be a lot more expensive. Maybe not. Who knows what could happen? What do you think would have happen with those big companies that were broken up without those laws?
