thanks a lot for your advice. I'm working on a single workstation right now, so the only person who could have locked it is me. I'm a newbie to foxpro, so I don't know if it is possible for me to lock it myself and have it come up with the same error. And it's not a network hiccup because it also occurs when i'm not on the network. If you have any further input, it would be immensly appreciated. Thanks again.
