No, I'm probably not technically correct - if you show a form, even as a top-level, do you still have a _screen object? But for that matter, why even show the main VFP screen if the login fails?

If the form is changed to top-level AND a second read events is put in then it will probably do what is required. Anyway, that's how I'd do it.
