>What in particular do you like about VB?
A couple of things come to mind:
1. VB is very well suited for 3-tier web apps and Microsoft's .Net strategy. It also integrates very well with other Microsoft technologies.
2. I feel it is a more versatile development environment that VFP.
3. The amount of support Microsoft gives VB shows that it will be around for years to come.
I know you can make these same arguments with VFP (with the exception of # 3). VFP is a good development environment for small to medium size desktop or LAN apps, but I don't think VFP will be a very big player in Microsoft's new direction.
Just one man's opinion.
