One of my corruptions came when I was working on my laptop. I was working at a desk at a client's office and they had a desktop on the same desk. While I was at lunch, a technician came in to service the desktop and unplugged everything from the power strip including my laptop. Since my power was low, the batteries gave up the ghost before I returned and .... whapp! Corruption.

VSS is a great idea.
