I had the same problem after we updated Novell Netware from 3.x to 4.x. The problem mostly occurred after a user deleted a record even though there was an explicit UNLOCK ALL in the program. Due to lack of cooperation from IT LAN Support, I had to code a fix which involved closing/reoping all the tables in the dataenvironment in repositionning the pointers to the appropriate record.
At other times, we received this message after a connection was temporarily "not working" (the network drive is mapped correctly but its contents are not visible). I had Network change a setting to NO IPX ROUTE-CACHE
on the token-ring card. I also believe they changed another and I can find out what it was if needed.
