All the tables are opened at the beginning of the app to check for any table corruptions, then closed and opened as needed. This app has a great number of tables, which means even more files. I know nothing about Novell. The app runs fine on all the other systems.

Both the OS and the file server can set a maximum # connections; in addition, there is a ceiling of 254, larger values are ignored giving a default max between 20 and 40. Set FILES=250 in the boot CONFIG (.SYS for Win9x, .NT for NT/2K, and mapped to the registry in ME) or the app's .PIF settings.
