>no there isnot any cancel or quit in the code.when i preform the calculation routine it stays open for me to choose to do somthing else but when i choose to look for the source and the table it executes 1 time then closes with out giving me a choice

Is this form Modal?
It sounds like your main program needs a READ EVENTS (after calling the form).
