The way I look at it is the Oracle ODBC drivers are unstable when used with Microsoft front-end tools. However, I would expect their drivers to be quite stable when used with the Oracle developer tools.

I would also expect the reverse to be ture where the MS drivers would be unstable when used with Oracle development tools.
