Thanks to all who responded. I just discovered Rick Strahl's utility for myself in 'Office Automation for VFP'. I'll also check out David F's recommendations to see how he solved the problem.
FYI - one of the useful recommendations regarding these headers is to avoid including all of the defined constants from a particular app in a header file. Apparently, doing so can have an ill effect on the time it takes to save a form that includes such a file.
This raises another question however. Suppose I had a form that included a header with all of the Word defined constants. If I eventually compile the form into an .exe version of my app, do I still suffer a time penalty when the form is loaded via the app...I would have thought that "compilation" would have resolved all of the constant ref's when the .exe was built, but knowing that VFP is an interpreter makes me a little unsure as to what assumptions I can make about .exe files.
