is there anyway i could send a direct zap command to my dbf table using adodc?

i did a for-recordset.delete-do loop but when i checked the dbf, it just marked the recordset as deleted but did not zapped the records completely. what i want is to zap the cursor table directly from VB...is there any way to do that? please help me!
