Absolutely not. I have absolutely no need for a command that evaluates code at runtime. Especially since we now have COMPILE at runtime. What I am asking for is a few key commands that replace the ones we now have the force us to use macro substitution.

Right, but most of the things they claim it is important for can usually already be done without it, and the remainder of the things could be done by the VFP team commands like I have proposed.

Macro substitution gives me the ability to evaluate a line of code at runtime. I don't need to evaluate code at runtime, I only need a few key commands commands that accept expressions. The VFP already did this with similar functions: SQLSETPROP/DBSETROP, PEMSTATUS, etc.
