Hi Walter,

First I'd like to thank you for your reply.

We are using Crystal 8. ( have crystal 6 available also ).

When I open the report, the convert database option is not available. ( under menu Database->Convert Database driver.

I believe this is due to the fact that the report was created having DC5 ( data dictionary ) data sources. I'm not quite sure if I'm explaining the part about the DC5 use properly.

When you create a report using the "standard report expert". The first step is selecting the data source. The options available are:
- database
- crystal SQL Query
- Crystal Dictionary ( DC5 ).

I believe your solution would work if the 1st choice is used when initally creating the report. Unfortunately, most of our reports were created and the 3rd option.."Crystal Dictionary" was used.

What I'd like to do is change it so that the report is using the 1st option (database). I can't find any way to change this option once the report has been created.

Any other ideas? or did I mis-understand your solution maybe?

Thanks again.
Andreas.
