Well I am certianly not one to tell you that you SHOULD do this or that. One of the great things about VFP is that there are many ways to skin the cat and if it works for you then that is fine! :)
My thought was...why call a form just to run a procedure ( or a function If I remember your case correctly)? If the form is not giveing the user options to choose or some task to do or data to enter you can accomplish the same thing just by calling the proc or funciton. I guess I would want to ask why am I calling a form when, if it is released in the activate event, it never really becomes a form that is used at all.
Again, if that is how you want to do it.... then that is fine. Just becasue I would not do it that way does not mean squat.
If it is a proc just... do myproc
If it is a funcion and you want to assign the return to a val just
myVal=myfunction()
Hope this helps and I'll be glad to help again if I can. Let me know.
