If you are running Windows NT and you have installed MS C++ you can right click and choose debug. When the C++ IDE loads just select Debug - > stop debugging this will end the process.
There is a console utility called "kill" that will kill the process
Otherwise you can build a method into your object that will properly shutdown your server.
