I've been plagued again with problem of "Wrong version of CTRL3D32.DLL installed" message everytime my app is run on some machines. I had same kind of problem before and couldn't figure it out. I now know what the problem is. This seems to happen when I install more than one Windows OS (machine at work runs both Win95 & Win3.1 and home machine runs NT Server & Win95) on the same machine and install VFP from both OSes. For example, I had no problems installing VFP apps developed on Win3.1 for Win3.1 machines but soon as I installed Win95 and install VFP again from Win95 (in the same directory), I've been getting the above message on Win3.1 machines. Although I specify in setup wizard for installation in either Win3.1 or Win95, for some reason, this particular DLL is installed for version of Windows that last installed the VFP! I receive no similar error messages during development but when installed in another machine, above error message would show up. I guess I could "manually" copy the correct version of DLL but shouldn't the setup wizard "know" which to install? I'm running VFP 3.0 (not 3.0b) so maybe this was fixed since. Meanwhile, I have to find a workaround in cases where I don't know which version of Windows my clients run. By the way, same problem exist for my apps developed on my home machine (Win95 & NT Server).
