I have read old threads about this error (1709) and it sounds like people are checking for the error in their errortrap and then retry to load the form. Wouldnt a 'SET REPROCESS TO nn' in the 'DeBeforeOpenTables' method (using maxframe) cause fox to retry before passing the error to the error handler?

I cant believe MS has not addressed this gaff.
